Strategic policy design, analysis and evaluation

Extensive experience across all aspects of the policy cycle, including;

• Understanding complex public policy and program environments, including multiple layers of government and organisations

• Developing public policy frameworks that define and prioritise social and economic outcomes for the community

• Designing public policies that achieve intended outcomes and mitigate against unintended outcomes

• Assessing the trade-offs between the different ways of achieving public policy goals including reducing regulatory burden

• Preparing Government and Committee submissions on emerging and existing public policy issues

• Conducting statutory reviews of legislation, proposing legislative reform approaches and drafting legislative instructions

• Evaluating policies including developing program logic and impact analysis of policies and programs

• Critical analysis of the economic, financial, revenue and distributional effects of proposed public policies
